Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial reporting and accounting operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, managing the accounting team, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial reports in compliance with GAAP
Manage the daily operations of the accounting department
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
Oversee the residential mortgage and construction draw processes
Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CMA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
Experience in public accounting is a plus
Familiarity with residential mortgage processes and MSR accounting
