Civil Engineer Position Overview

This role involves managing capital improvement projects at our clients' water/wastewater plants, as well as for the transmission and distribution facilities. It includes preconstruction activities, reviewing and accepting shop drawings, coordinating inspections, conducting update meetings, and collaborating with contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Design and oversee construction projects from conception to completion
Prepare and review shop drawings and technical specifications
Conduct water analysis and ensure compliance with environmental regulations
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers
Manage project timelines and budgets effectively
Perform site inspections and monitor project progress
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Proven experience in civil engineering and project management
Strong understanding of water analysis and environmental regulations
Proficiency in engineering software and tools
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
