Clinic Manager

Position Overview
The Clinic Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing staff to promote an efficient and positive working environment. This role involves budget management, regulatory compliance, and fostering strong patient relations while maintaining the clinic's standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinic Operations: Oversee daily clinic functions, staff scheduling, equipment compliance, SOP updates, and resolution of patient/staff issues.
  • Staff Management: Conduct 90-day and annual performance reviews with goal setting; organize monthly clinical staff meetings and agendas.
  • Financial Oversight: Approve clinic-related invoices, manage clinic-related costs, and coordinate pre-authorizations for insurance claims.
  • Pharmacy Coordination: Manage daily drug needs with physicians, pharmacy, and accounting to ensure treatment continuity and cost-efficiency; oversee CURES compliance.
  • Lab Management: Support CLIA compliance, ensure proper specimen transfer, provide lab coverage as needed, and assess staffing requirements.
  • Billing Oversight: Ensure timely superbill submissions, address billing escalations, attend billing/accounting meetings, and lead billing process improvements.
  • Research Collaboration: Work closely with the Clinical Research Manager to support trials, secure approvals, allocate resources, and maintain study compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all clinic and physician-related documents meet regulatory standards, including those tied to Dr. Berenson.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate clinic schedule with front office; maintain open lines with pharmacy, lab, research, billing, and administrative teams.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional administrative, management, lab, pharmacy, billing, or research responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • University degree: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management. Masters degree in Healthcare Management preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing an oncology clinic or similar healthcare setting
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting and oncology billing codes
  • Ability to bridge the gap between administrative demands and clinical needs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to motivate and challenge staff
