Who you are:
10+ years of Quality Engineering management experience in Aerospace/Defense
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, quality, or similar (preferred)
AS9100D certified Lead Auditor (highly preferred)
Lean Six Sigma experience (certification preferred)
Knowledge of IPC and J-STD standards
Space program and product knowledge preferred
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Inventory Control program experience preferred
ASQ certification preferred but not required
What you will be doing:
Manages quality organization in achieving needs by developing, planning, policies, performance metrics, measurements and procedures
Develop budgets for expenditures and direct/indirect labor
Development and implementation of activities in quality, and cost objectives
Directs the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of company's QMS, processes and procedures to AS9100D, space requirements and any other regulatory/statutory requirements
Directly manage and oversee day to day activities, employees and KPI/metrics performance of Quality department.
Manage and coach direct reports performance to create and enhance operational efficiencies and improve and create a positive work environment
Conduct organizational training activities such as SOP, WI, RCCA, team building department, statutory, regulatory and industry standards.
Drives emerging trends and technologies in manufacturing and quality excellence as a key member of the senior leadership team
Responsible for organizational internal audit schedule and activities to AS9100, DO-330 and DO-178 regulations.
Oversee organizational quality strategic planning, implementation and deployment.
Host customer and 3rd party audits. Oversees new supplier and surveillance audits.
Develop and manage company-wide metrics to meet company's policy and goals as well as to continuously monitor and manage QMS effectiveness.
Conduct contract requirements and review for quality and create quality compliance matrices to ensure proper flow down communication and execution activities.
Participate in monthly PMR, engineering gates review, manufacturing readiness review, RTVM, CM, PDR, CDR, MRR and TRR as Quality lead.
Compile and present quarterly QMR presentations to Senior Leadership Team.
Lead materials review board, critical review board and process improvement committees as well as organization failure investigation activities and meetings.
