We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed estimates for projects, including labor, material, and equipment costs. This individual will review plans, layouts, drawings, and specifications; analyze engineering and construction data; and utilize software such as Accubid and Live Count to prepare estimates. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and experienced in commercial construction, specifically ground-up construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Review plans, drawings, and specifications for upcoming projects
Analyze engineering and construction data
Utilize software such as Accubid and Live Count to prepare estimates
Utilize the National Electrical Code (NEC) for estimating purposes
Assess cost effectiveness of products, equipment, and supplies
Prepare take-offs and bids for projects
Participate in preconstruction meetings and reviews
Communicate with other stakeholders in the estimating process
Ensure accuracy of estimates
Monitor progress of jobs and make adjustments to estimates as necessary
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator
Proficiency in Accubid and Live Count software
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Proven experience in commercial construction, with a focus on ground-up construction
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
