Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and define the scope of engineering projects, overseeing resources, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications for water and wastewater systems.
- Recommend methods for water/sewer conveyance, including distribution lines, force mains, pump stations, gravity sewers, and lift stations.
- Coordinate construction projects, monitor progress, and analyze problems.
- Review development plans and specifications for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Perform technical work on water and wastewater system modeling and planning studies.
- Support marketing and business development activities related to water and wastewater system planning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Create, edit, and review technical and design reports for submittals.
- Coordinate with governmental entities regarding project submittals.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Effective communication with management, customer service, and operations.
- Prioritization of construction milestones with operations and developer deliverables.
- Advising management on regulatory issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental, or a related discipline (preferably Civil Engineering).
- EIT or PE License or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- 4-7 years of progressive engineering experience.
- Knowledge of TCEQ rules and regulations associated with water and sewer utility facilities.
- Experience in utility construction, utility engineering, or plant/operations.
- Experience in project, operating, and capital budget administration.
- Proficient in Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
