Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects using HCSS and other estimating software.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure competitive bidding.
Review and assess bid proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards.
Maintain a database of labor, material, and equipment costs to improve estimating accuracy over time.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather relevant information for estimates.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as an Estimator in heavy civil construction.
Proficiency in HCSS estimating software and other construction management tools.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and costs related to heavy civil projects.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients.
Experience in bridge, transportation, and roadway construction is a plus.
