Position Overview: The Non-Profit Tax Manager is responsible for providing tax advice to a variety of non-profit organizations. The successful candidate will have both a practical and theoretical understanding of how taxes relate to non-profits, and will be able to apply these principles to the organizations they are working with.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the preparation of all required non-profit tax returns, including 990 forms
Provide tax advice to non-profit organizations, helping them to select the most advantageous options for tax purposes
Research complex tax issues and develop solutions that help organizations achieve their objectives
Identify tax credits and deductions available to non-profit organizations, and provide guidance on how to apply for them
Provide training and support to non-profit organizations with respect to tax issues and compliance
Analyze financial statements and other documents to ensure that they are compliant with all applicable tax laws
Stay up to date on changes in tax legislation and other developments in the field, ensuring that the organization is compliant with all applicable laws

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax role, with experience working with non-profit organizations preferred
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, as they relate to non-profit organizations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
