Roofing Estimator

Position Overview
The Roofing Estimator is responsible for assessing project costs and preparing detailed estimates for roofing projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing, along with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimates.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements
Perform take-offs to determine quantities of materials needed
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for roofing projects
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure accuracy of estimates
Analyze labor costs and productivity rates to generate competitive bids
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and pricing for roofing materials
Communicate with clients to clarify project details and requirements
Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards throughout the estimating process

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator with a focus on roofing
Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials
Proficiency in performing take-offs and preparing cost estimates
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Familiarity with project management principles and tools
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of safety compliance and quality control standards
Experience in contractor management and construction management is a plus
