Territory Sales Manager - Heavy Equipment
Position Overview
The Territory Sales Manager for Heavy Equipment will be responsible for driving sales growth in the assigned territory by developing relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment and a strategic approach to territory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve sales targets in the heavy equipment sector.
- Identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including networking and cold calling.
- Conduct client consultations to understand their needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage accounts, and report on sales performance.
- Provide technical knowledge and support to clients regarding heavy equipment and its applications.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize company revenue while providing value to clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to effectively position products.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that resonate with the target audience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the heavy equipment or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment including cranes, loaders, excavators, and compactors.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients and close sales.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Ability to manage a sales territory and develop strategic approaches to meet sales goals.
- Technical knowledge of equipment leasing and sales processes.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle client inquiries and issues promptly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
