Senior Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the preconstruction phase of various commercial construction projects, focusing on accurate cost estimation and project planning. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and clients to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and site visits.
Analyze project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities during the preconstruction phase.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather relevant project information and clarify project scope.
Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing for various construction materials and labor for accurate forecasting.
Provide support in the development of project schedules and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry, with a focus on commercial construction.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
Experience with estimating software and tools; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and team members.
