Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial information and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

This position reports to the president.
Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely entries.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Assist with tax preparation and filing requirements.
Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and improve processes.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Perform financial analysis and reconciliation of accounts.
Utilize Quickbooks for financial reporting and record-keeping.
Assist in payroll processing and related tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA certification preferred but not required.
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
