Position Overview

Join our fast-growing steel fabricator startup with $5M+ annual revenue as a Steel Estimator. Help accelerate our growth and become the preferred steel-fabrication shop for infrastructure companies across the U.S.

We seek gritty go-getters who thrive in a small team and can mentor less experienced estimators. While in-person candidates are preferred, highly qualified remote applicants will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Review project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
Conduct takeoffs to determine material quantities and types.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand requirements and constraints.
Utilize cost estimation software and tools.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Monitor market trends and material prices for competitive pricing.
Assist in budget management and procurement processes.
Support supply chain management in sourcing materials and negotiating with vendors.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of structural steel estimating experience.
Proficiency in Tekla, Bluebeam, BidWizard, and/or Etakeoff.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
