Title: Workers' Compensation Defense Partner - 2100 hours

Location: Chicago - Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 remote)

Compensation: $120K-$145K + Bonus Potential (Origination, Hours)

Who We Are: Founded in 2001, we are a mid-sized, full-service defense firm focusing on a diverse practice. With offices in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Crown Point, we are on a continued path for growth and looking to add a Partner to our Chicago office. 

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney (Partner) to join our growing law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law and a proven track record of success in defense litigation. This role will focus on providing high-quality legal representation to our clients while also contributing to the strategic direction of the firm. 2100 billable hours. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of workers' compensation defense cases.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies that align with client objectives.
  • Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients regarding workers' compensation matters.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in hearings and trials.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure optimal case management.
  • Mentor and train junior attorneys and staff in workers' compensation law.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • 2100 billable hours. 

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure in Illinois required, licensure in Indiana is a plus!
  • 6+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense, personal injury defense
  • Having a book of business is a huge plus.
  • Proven track record of successful litigation and case management.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
