Title: Workers' Compensation Defense Partner - 2100 hours

Location: Chicago - Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 remote)

Compensation: $120K-$145K + Bonus Potential (Origination, Hours)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney (Partner) to join our growing law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law and a proven track record of success in defense litigation. This role will focus on providing high-quality legal representation to our clients while also contributing to the strategic direction of the firm. 2100 billable hours.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a diverse caseload of workers' compensation defense cases.
Develop and implement legal strategies that align with client objectives.
Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients regarding workers' compensation matters.
Negotiate settlements and represent clients in hearings and trials.
Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure optimal case management.
Mentor and train junior attorneys and staff in workers' compensation law.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
2100 billable hours.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensure in Illinois required, licensure in Indiana is a plus!
6+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense, personal injury defense
Having a book of business is a huge plus.
Proven track record of successful litigation and case management.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
